Lost item report
If you submit a lost item report, you provide us with personal data which we process exclusively for the purpose of providing our service:
- first and last name
- adress
- e-mail adress
- preferred language
- phone number (optional)
- details about the lost item which contain personal data (e.g. date/year of birth, ID number, debit/credit card number, social security number, ...)
An essential part of the service is the disclosure of your data to public lost-and-found offices within Germany (municipalities and cities). They may only use the data to fulfill the legal duties of a lost property office, to notify you of the found item and to hand over the item to you.
If you have additionally given your consent, your data will also be disclosed to private lost-and-found service organizations (e.g. transport companies and airports) and lost-and-found offices in other European countries. These organizations or lost lost-and-found offices may also only use the data to notify you of the found item and to hand over the item to you.
For this purpose, the data is stored for a retention period of 12 months in accordance with Art 6 para. 1 lit a and b GDPR
Found item report
If you have found an easyfind item, you can contact the loser via our website. For this purpose, your first and last name and either your phone number or e-mail address will be forwarded to the person registered under the easyfind code. This is only possible with your consent. Your personal data will not be stored at verlustsache.de or easyfind or used for other advertising purposes.
Server log files
In order to ensure the security and functionality of our website, we collect and evaluate access data (website visited, time of access, browser type, operating system, IP address). In the event of a security incident, this data helps us to determine and eliminate the cause. For this purpose, the data is stored for a retention period of 12 months in accordance with Art 6 para. 1 lit f GDPR.
Contact form
If you use the contact form on our website to ask more about our products, we process the data you submit in the contact form in order to process your inquiry. If your inquiry also concerns our partner products, your data may be forwarded to these partners. The processing is based on Art 6 para 1 lit b and f GDPR, because it serves to initiate a contract with us and is in our legitimate interest. Your data will be stored for as long as necessary to process your request.
